Here’s our story in a nutshell. We met in graduate school in 2007 – complete polar opposites. We became best friends and eventually the romance started. C, my husband, is from the South of India, and I (L) am from (originally) Southern California. Enter a million different logistical barriers for us to be together: 9,000+ miles separating us, nearly impossible US immigration policies, culture differences, family expectations, strict traditions, financial burdens, jobs – you know, just to name a few. But… people are worth fighting for. And that is exactly what we are doing. Join us, as we document our journey from grad school to home – wherever and whenever that may be!
